Privacy policy
This policy covers WKB Teleprompter 1.0 for Android, the public WKB Teleprompter website, and separate account-backed web tools.
WKB Teleprompter 1.0 for Android
The Android app works without an account, sign-in, subscription, purchase, or cloud library. Scripts, trusted-device records, playback settings, and playback state are stored locally on the Android device.
- TXT and DOCX import uses Android's document picker and reads only the file you choose.
- Host and Follower sync uses the local Wi-Fi network. Pairing uses a displayed PIN. The app does not request camera access for QR scanning.
- Bluetooth support is limited to HID presenters, keyboards, mice, and compatible input devices. The app does not transfer scripts between Android devices over Bluetooth.
- The Android 1.0 app contains no advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, Google Play Billing Library, purchase flow, or subscription flow.
Diagnostics and support
The app can create technical diagnostics and support information for troubleshooting. This may include the app version, Android version, device model, crash summaries, and recent recovery events. WKB Teleprompter does not use a third-party crash-reporting SDK. Data shared through an explicit support action is used only to investigate the reported problem.
Separate account-backed web tools
Authorized web tools may offer sign-in, cloud backup, recovery, or operator functions. These tools are separate from the free Android 1.0 app. When used, they may store:
- account data such as login, role, password hash, and account creation timestamp
- scripts and playback state submitted to the web tool
- session identifiers, operational logs, and restricted backup snapshots
Sharing and third parties
WKB Teleprompter does not sell personal data. Data submitted to the web tools or support service may be processed by the service operator and the hosting providers needed to run them.
The public marketing website may use Google Analytics to measure website visits, pages viewed, approximate location, device/browser information, and referral sources. This analytics data is used to understand site traffic and improve public product information.
Retention and deletion
Android app data remains on the device until you delete it, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Account-backed web data is retained while the web account remains active. Deleting a web account removes its live account data, sessions, scripts, and saved runtime state.
If restricted server backups exist, deleted web data may remain in those backups until the normal backup rotation expires.
